EI 2022 Registration Fees and Policies

ONLINE EVENT

• The EI2022 Portal provides access to courses, course notes, technical session, recordings (post-event), social events and more. We advise you familiarize yourself with the portal before your first EI2022 event.
• IMPORTANT, the portal login will be active ~2 hours after registration purchase, please plan accordingly. Once you receive the "Welcome to EI2022 Online" email then you have access to the portal.
• Short courses take place in Zoom or GoToTraining. Links to enter courses are posted ~15 before the class starts.
• Technical Sessions take place in GoToTraining. Please note that GTT desktop app does not work with with the Linux OS; you will need to use the web version.
• The Interactive Paper Poster Session and Breaks take place in Gather.town. The space will open up prior to January 17. See the Portal for details.
• Please make yourself familiar with the Attendee Guidelines, which covers online etiquette and the IST Code of Conduct .

Symposium Registration

Symposium Registration includes:

• Access to the Symposium plenary talks, all technical sessions for all the conferences, the exhibit, poster sessions, and networking/social events, plus access to the recordings of these sessions until 15 May 2022
• Support of the Open Access EI Proceedings
• Multiple ways to interact throughout the event
• Access to registration fee that includes membership (new or renewal) with online subscription to the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST) or Journal of Electronic Imaging (JEI).

Symposium Technical Registration Fees 

Student Fees

• Students are defined as those actively pursuing a degree through awarding of a PhD; post docs are not defined as students.
• All technical student registrations include IS&T membership + online subscription to the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST).
• Student fees are kept low as a shared benefit by other attendees paying the full rate. 

For Student Authors

A major benefit received by EI authors is the Open Access status of their published papers. To help offset Open Access publishing costs, we require at least one author per paper to register at the full conference registration rate. A student author presenting a paper may register at the "Student Author: Supported" rate as long as a co-author (professor or other) is registered at the full conference rate. One full registration may be associated with up to 3 papers. For more than 3 papers, contact  [email protected]. 

BANK TRANSFERS: If you wish to use a bank transfer, a US$25 fee is added; please contact [email protected] to arrange.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: To cover bank charges and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $100 until December 23, 2021. After that date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total plus $100. No refunds will be given after the first day of the event. Requests for a refund must be made in writing.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY FOR CORRESPONDING AUTHORS/PRESENTERS: To cover submission site charges, as well as bank and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $150 until December 23, 2021. After that date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total plus $150 unless your manuscript has already been submitted. If your paper has been submitted for upload to the IS&T Digital Library, the cancellation fee is $500 per the copyright agreement. Requests for a refund must be made in writing.

*Your paid registration signifies your agreement to be recorded (voice and/or video) in the course of normal business, such as during the Q&A portion of a live event. All recordings of live events will be available for viewing by all paid registrants, and may be used for IS&T promotional purposes.
