2020 marks the 32nd year of IS&T's International Symposium on Electronic Imaging. Over the course of these more than 30 years, many thousands of electronic imaging professionals, representing the myriad facets of imaging science and engineering, have enhanced their skills and advanced their careers through the connections made here. EI has showcased the leading research of each era, from the early days of digital cameras, to the imaging science driving autonomous vehicles, to the 3D imaging essential to bioinformatics, to the virtual realities presented via stereoscopic imaging.

In recent years, EI has evolved to encompass exciting new growth areas in electronic imaging. Check out the Autonomous Vehicles and Machines conference, for example.

What You Can Expect at EI 2020

We listened to all the great feedback we received from previous year’s attendees and have incorporated the best suggestions into this year’s event.

• Attend three symposium plenaries, presenting breakthrough technologies that are reshaping, not just the fields of imaging science, but the world around us.
• Choose among more than 150 highly-relevant technical conference sessions, led by some of the industry’s top experts. Look for joint sessions on topics that span multiple conferences, creating synergies among technology topics. 
• Attend keynotes in each conference. Be inspired by presentations from thought leaders representing a wide range of emerging applications from across both academia and industry.
• Take short courses directly from the innovators.
