Course Description
Advanced digital imaging techniques are the perfect candidates for cultural heritage analysis and study. They are non-invasive, and the growth of big data and display technologies empower their potential for this field of study. The basic principles of many techniques (spectral imaging, fluorescence imaging, IR reflectography, etc) are explained and compared to others such as spectrometric techniques.

Miguel Ángel is Associate Professor at the Department of Optics of University of Granada since 2020. His recent research interests are color and spectral imaging, color vision, HDR imaging, image processing and IR imaging, all applied to image dehazing, cultural heritage, color vision deficiencies, and other scientific, industrial or engineering applications. He is involved in teaching different courses in the B.S. degrees of Optics and Optometry, and masters programs like COSI Erasmus Mundus international master
