Benefits:
Attendees will be able to:
- Understand the concept of uniform colour spaces (UCSs).
- Learn to produce desired psychophysical data to evaluate UCSs.
- Know the methods for testing UCSs, and to report their performances.
- Apply UCSs in different applications such as imaging and lighting industries.
Intended Audience: engineers and researchers.
Course Description
This course will cover theories behind existing uniform colour spaces (UCSs), properties of UCSs (colour uniformity and hue linearity), methods for the evaluation of UCSs, application of UCSs to evaluate the quality of light sources, and to SDR and HDR images.
Ming Ronnier Luo is a chair professor in the Optical Engineering Department, Zhejiang University (China). His research areas include colour science, imaging science, and illumination engineering.
