EI 2023 Registration Fees and Policies

EI Student Registration and Guidelines

All student registrations include membership and a subscription to the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST). Students who register before the early registration deadline also receive one (1) free 2- or 4-hour short course. Student registration fees are kept low as a shared benefit from other attendees paying the full rate.

For Student Authors: A major benefit received by EI authors is the Open Access status of their published papers. To help offset Open Access publishing costs, at least one author on a paper must be registered at the full (non-student/non-comp) conference registration rate. Student authors may register at the student registration rate as long as a professor or a co-author is registered at the full conference rate. One full registration may be associated with up to 3 papers. For more than 3 papers, or if you do not have a co-author registered at the full rate, contact [email protected].

Registration Cancellation Policies

To cover bank charges and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $100 until December 25, 2022. After that date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total plus $100. No refunds will be given after January 14, 2023. Requests for a refund must be made in writing.

For Corresponding Authors/Presenters: To cover submission site charges, as well as bank and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $150 until December 25, 2022. After that date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total plus $150 unless your manuscript has already been submitted. If you paper has been submitted for upload to the IS&T Digital Library, the cancellation fee is $500 per the copyright agreement. No refunds will be given after January 14, 2023. Requests for a refund must be made in writing.

Symposium Registration

Symposium Registration includes: Admission to all technical sessions of all the conferences; coffee breaks; the exhibit, Demonstration Session, and Interactive (Poster) Paper Session; Meet the Future Student and Young Professional Showcase; Conference Reception; XR for Imaging Workshop (must be indicated when registering); and support of free access to all the EI proceedings papers on the IS&T Digital Library. Separate registration fees are required for short courses.

To better serve you, IS&T is offering conference registration options that include membership (new or renewals).

Register for just the symposium OR register for the symposium plus IS&T membership, with your choice of an online subscription to the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST) or Journal of Electronic Imaging (JEI).
