Register to Attend LIM In-person or Online


LIM is takes place in-person at the Institute of Physics (IOP) in central London, near the King's Cross Station. Attendees—especially speakers—are encouraged to attend in person, by may select remote participation.

Travel arrangements and lodging are at the attendee's discretion. Attendees have the option of purchasing lunch during the registration process for £10 in lieu of going out to eat. Lunch includes a sandwich, chips, fruit, and beverage. Most dietary restrictions are accommodated.

COVID Situation / Protocols

Prevalence rates in London: The UK government publishes daily updated data on COVID-19 cases through the UK Coronavirus Dashboard.

IOP Policies: IOP asks anyone attending an event to wear a mask and test before they come into the building. While proof of vaccination not required, it is encouraged. Temperature checks may occur should UK guidelines change. IOP follows policies set by the UK government.




IMPORTANT: LIM registration is being handled by IOP. When you click on the LIM registration link, you will be redirected to the IOP LIM registration page. The information below is provided for planning purposes. For questions about registration, please contact Annalise Machin or IOP Conferences.

You MUST register by 26 June (extended) to attend in person. There is no onsite registration. If you plan to attend online, you may register through 6 July. Online attendance will be through Zoom and will include all of the talks, but not the poster session. Posters PDFs will be available for viewing online.


  • Early registration ends 8 June; register by then for savings.
  • Separate registration fees are required for the LIM Summer School courses.
  • LIM Summer School must be attended in person; the courses are not being broadcast nor recorded for remote or later viewing. LIM Summer School registration includes: access to the four courses, any accompanying course materials, and daily coffee/tea breaks
  • LIM Conference registration includes LIM e-proceedings, access to the LIVE technical sessions (in person or online), access to recordings of talks until 30 September 2022, and daily coffee/tea breaks.
  • Attendees have the option of selecting a bag lunch for individual or all days of the conference for an additional fee of £10/day. Lunch includes sandwich, chips, fruit, and beverage; most dietary restrictions are accommodated.
  • Student registrations include IS&T membership through the end of 2022, including an e-subscription to the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology. Students are defined as those actively pursuing a degree through awarding of a PhD; post docs are not recognized as students.

Post-LIM 2022 Networking Event + demos in Cambridge

SATURDAY 9 July 2022 • 10:00 – 13:00 CAMBRIDGE (arrive between 10:00 - 11:00)

Visit Cambridge after LIM 2022. Network and see demos of some of the HDR and 3D display prototypes + other work done in the Graphics and Displays group headed by Prof. Rafal Mantiuk. Among other things, see the 3D HDR hyper-realistic display. Cambridge is a 50-minute train ride from London King Cross station + a bus/uber/taxi to the event venue. Transportation to Cambridge is on your own. This event is free for anyone to attend. REGISTER
