While Color Science continues to be a fundamental component, an increasing number of presentations have focused on the application of color in a variety of emerging imaging areas including image capture, display, graphics, printing, and imaging science. This application focus led to the coining of a new term "Color Engineering" which has become the general descriptor for the work of many conference participants.
