EI 2021 Registration Fees and Policies

Symposium Registration includes:

• Access to all LIVE technical sessions for all the conferences
• Access to the recordings of these LIVE sessions until 30 April 2021.
• Multiple ways to interact in real-time via chat or voice throughout the event
• Access to the e-exhibit
• Visit LIVE discussions with those presenting Interactive (Poster) Papers and Demonstrations
• Support of the Open Access EI Proceedings
• Option to select fee that includes membership (new or renewal) with online subscription to the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST) or Journal of Electronic Imaging (JEI).
• Early-bird rate for maximum savings.
• Separate registration fees are required for short courses.

Student Fees

• Students are defined as those actively pursuing a degree through awarding of a PhD; post docs are not defined as students.
• All student registrations include IS&T membership + online subscription to the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST).
• Student fees are kept low as a shared benefit by other attendees paying the full rate. 

For Student Authors

A major benefit received by EI authors is the Open Access status of their published papers. To help offset Open Access publishing costs, we require at least one author per paper to register at the full (non-student) conference registration rate. Each student author may register at the Student registration rate as long as their associated professor or a co-author is registered at the full conference rate. One full registration may be associated with up to 3 papers. For more than 3 papers, contact [email protected].

BANK TRANSFERS: If you wish to use a bank transfer, a US$25 fee is added; please contact [email protected] to arrange.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: To cover bank charges and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $100 until December 23, 2020. After that date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total plus $100. No refunds will be given after the first day of the event. Requests for a refund must be made in writing.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY FOR CORRESPONDING AUTHORS/PRESENTERS: To cover submission site charges, as well as bank and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $150 until December 23, 2020. After that date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total plus $150 unless your manuscript has already been submitted. If your paper has been submitted for upload to the IS&T Digital Library, the cancellation fee is $500 per the copyright agreement. Requests for a refund must be made in writing.

*Your paid registration signifies your agreement to be recorded (voice and/or video) in the course of normal business, such as during the Q&A portion of a live event. All recordings of live events will be available for viewing by all paid registrants, and may be used for IS&T promotional purposes.
