CIC Returns to Paris

The 31st Color and Imaging Conference is returning to the city of lights! Join us Monday 13 November - Friday 17 November 2023 at the Centre International de Conférences Sorbonne Université (CICSU), Campus Pierre & Marie Curie.

CIC31 is collocated with 2023 GDR APPAMAT Materials Appearance Workshop (details below).

GDR APPAMAT 2023

International Workshop on Material Appearance with Special Session on Cosmetics and Facial Appearance

Including both invited and submitted reviewed talks, posters, and demonstrations, the first half of the day includes talks on a range of topics related to material appearance. The afternoon features the special session on cosmetics and facial appearance, followed by the poster/demonstration session. Visit APPAMAT webpage.

Call for Contributions

Everyone is invited to share recent research on material appearance sciences. Topics include:

  • Perception / definition of visual attributes
  • Sensory / Physical measurement
  • Material and Color Appearance
  • Physical / digital reproduction
  • Optical modelization
  • Manufacturing
  • Cosmetics and facial appearance
  • Visual effects materials
Submit a Short Talk

Oral presentations are 10 minutes, including Q&A. Submit a 1-page abstract based on template found on APPAMAT website to [email protected] before 30 September 2023. Acceptance results will be communicated soon after. Oral presenters may also participate in the poster session.

Submit a Poster

To participate in the poster session, register by email to [email protected] with the title of the poster and a 3-5 lines abstract by 30 September 2023.

Show a Demonstration

Academic or industrial researchers are invited to exhibit materials or technologies related to cosmetics applications. A exhibition table will be available (+ 1 poster permitted) during the poster session. Contact [email protected] to arrange your participation.
