  ARCHIVING 2020 IS GOING VIRTUAL

Due to the uncertainty around Covid-19 and how long it will be impacting our work lives and ability to travel safely, the Archiving 2020 leadership has decided to take the conference online. Details are being worked out, but here's what we know as of now:

  • Short courses will take place the 11-15 May.
  • Technical papers will be presented 18-21 May, with longer times for Q&A.
  • Courses and papers (with virtual coffee breaks for engaging with other participants) will be scheduled between the hours of 10:00 – 14:00 EDT. We realize this is an early morning start for some and an early evening start for others, but there is no ideal time across the globe. Talks and courses will be recorded, so if you miss part of the program, you can always listen to the content later. We are also exploring ways for attendees to engage with speakers at other times.
  • The revised Archiving 2020 program will be released around April 15, at which time registration will also open.
  • We will update this page as additional information becomes available.
With reduced fees for the virtual program, plus no need for funds to travel, we see this as a great opportunity for more cultural heritage professionals from around the world to be able to participate in Archiving 2020 and we look forward to sharing this experience with you.
