The Society for Imaging Science and Technology is an international non-profit society whose goal is to keep members aware of the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of imaging. The Society conducts four to eight conferences each year in the United States, Europe, and Japan, some of them jointly sponsored by other societies, on selected topics in imaging technology.
IS&T publishes proceedings from its conferences. These publications include the full text of papers presented at IS&T meetings. IS&T periodically publishes books on selected imaging topics.
We publish one bi-monthly journal, the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology, and are co-publishers of the Journal of Electronic Imaging. We also publish a bi-monthly newsletter, the IS&T Reporter, "the window on imaging."
IS&T
is made up of members with a common interest in Imaging. One of the most important roles of our Society is the recognition of excellence. IS&T's Honors and Awards process recognizes achievements over life-long careers, as well as special work by students. It recognizes intellectual contributions, practical accomplishments and service to other members. Presentations are made every year at the IS&T conferences.
