Individual Membership

Individual Membership Categories

IS&T offers student, regular, and emeritus levels of membership for individuals. (Regular or emeritus members may be awarded Honorary or Senior Member or Fellow status through the Society’s Honors and Awards process.) Individual members may choose to affiliate with a local chapter.

Student Member

A student member must be a full-time student in science, engineering, or imaging at a college, university, or other post-secondary educational institution. Student members may not vote in Society elections, hold office, nor Chair any committee, but may serve as a voting member of a committee of the Society. See below for benefits.

Membership Term: October 1 – September 30

Regular Member

Any person who performs, manages, teaches, and/or uses the science or technology of imaging, or anyone who wants to support IS&T and it’s purposes. A Regular member is entitled to one vote in Society elections and is eligible to hold office. See below for benefits.

Annual fee: $95 (US address) / $105 (non-US address)
Membership Term: January 1 – December 31

Emeritus Member

An individual who meets the following qualifications may apply for emeritus membership: is at least 60 years of age; is retired from active business life; has been a Senior Member, Regular Member, or Fellow of imaging.org for a total of 15 years; and has had at least 10 years of continuous membership prior to application for emeritus membership. See below for benefits.
