CIC18 Preliminary Program Released We've got an amazing week planned for Nov. 8-12 in San Antonio, Texas, including a riverboat tour of the famous River Walk. There are a number of new short courses offered, three interesting keynotes planned, an evening talk on color holography, and a panel on educating future color imaging scientists and engineers.

Archiving 2011 Call Released Salt Lake City hosts Archiving 2011, May 16­ to 19. General Chairs Wayne Metcalfe, FamilySearch, and Kate Zwaard, US Government Printing Office, have released the Call for Papers, with an October 17, 2010 submission deadline.

NIP26/Digital Fab 2010 EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING Austin, Texas hosts this year's conference, Sept. 19-23. The early registration deadline is Aug. 22nd.

Raymond Davis Scholarship

Basis of Selection

This scholarship is granted to an imaging science or engineering student(s) for use in continuing his/her studies at the graduate or under-graduate level. The scholarship is given for academic study or research in the theory or practice of imaging science.

Eligibility

An applicant must be a graduate or under-graduate student who has completed two academic years of college before the term of the scholarship. The individual must be a full-time student pursuing work at an accredited institution, in accordance with the rules and regulations of that institution, toward the fulfillment requirements for an academic degree.

The acceptance of this scholarship does not preclude the acceptance of additional fellowships, assistant positions, scholarships, or similar awards. The Society may bypass the award if there is no candidate judged suitable by the committee. Both members and non-members are eligible.

Application

Applications for the scholarship are submitted to the Honors and Awards Committee.

Frequency of Award:

One or more awards are made annually, depending on available funds. Scholarship funding comes from interest earned on the restricted Davis Scholarship endowment.

Form of Award

A certificate and grant of at least $1,000 are given to recipients of this award
